Located next to Outlets at the Dells, Knuckleheads is an 80,000-square-foot indoor entertainment space that combines active play with classic family attractions. It’s not a single-activity stop... it’s more of a choose-your-own-adventure, which makes it especially appealing for families with kids of different ages.
Trampoline Park
During a recent visit, Aaron and his family explored a little bit of everything, starting with the trampoline park. It’s the only trampoline park in Wisconsin Dells and includes open jump areas, dodgeball, basketball hoops, and a large airbag jump. It’s the kind of space where kids can burn off real energy and where parents immediately understand why this is a go-to spot on colder or rainy days.
Rides, Go-Karts, and Mini Golf
From there, they moved on to the rides, which range from bumper cars to a ropes course, jumping pillow, indoor go-karts, mini golf, and several thrill-style attractions.
A few things stood out: the go-karts are surprisingly fast for an indoor track, the bumper cars are genuinely bumpy (but with a tube all around them, making them feel safer and less chaotic), and the kids loved being able to drive on their own. The mini golf course was also a hit thanks to its built-in challenges and point system, which added a layer of strategy beyond just counting strokes.
Arcade and Cosmic Bowling
After all the movement, the arcade offered a natural reset point, with plenty of games and ticket prizes. Knuckleheads also has ten bowling lanes with cosmic bowling and bumper options, making it an easy activity for families looking to slow things down without stopping the fun entirely.
Booby Trap Escape Rooms & the Slime Lab
One experience that really stood out, though, was at Knuckleheads’ sister business, Booby Trap Escape Rooms, also located in Wisconsin Dells, right across the parking lot from Knuckleheads. Escape rooms can be hit-or-miss with kids — often too dark or too intense — but this one felt different. The rooms are bright, playful, and designed to feel collaborative rather than stressful. Aaron shared that each person in his family solved at least one puzzle, and they successfully escaped together.
There’s also a Slime Lab option, which adds a creative, hands-on element. Kids get to make their own slime, take it home as a souvenir, and work through the experience as a team. For families with younger kids or those new to escape rooms, it’s an approachable way to try something a little different.
