A few things I'm excited about right now...

It feels like there have been a lot of things to get excited about lately, and maybe it’s the warmer weather finally showing up, but either way, we’re here for it.

Between spring events and looking ahead to summer, here are a few things we’re especially excited about right now:

  • Of course, Easter egg hunts are at the top of the list (for my 3-year-old)
  • Spring Fair on the Square in Downtown Baraboo
  • Getting back outside all day, every day (here are two of our favorite parks if you're visiting Sauk or Baraboo)
  • Taking a ride on the Merrimac Ferry (and even more excited to take it across on our way to go strawberry picking again this year)

There are also a couple things going on that parents can get excited about:

  • The Kids Bowl Free program is back, and there are several Madison-area alleys participating...such an easy (and free) way to get out of the house this summer.
  • Consignment sales like Just Between Friends and Half-Pint (one of my favorite ways to stock up for the next season without spending a ton)
  • Another exciting update is that, thanks to the Madison Reading Project, the Dolly Parton Imagination Library is now available in Sauk County. It’s been around Madison for a while, but if you are a new parent (or know one), it might not be on your radar and is definitely worth checking out!
  • And we are counting down the days until Havens Petting Farm opens… my son talks about it all year long, so that first visit always feels like a big one.

I'd love to hear...what are you & your kids most excited about right now?
