  1. Carve pumpkins. I'm not going to win any awards for creativity with this one, but it's such a simple, memorable fall activity! Place a small candle inside and light it up at night to really wow your kids!
  2. Bake pumpkin seeds. Along with #1, pumpkin seeds are a different (and pretty healthy!) snack that's kind of magical to make.
  3. Decorate your windows. Grab some fall or Halloween window clings and let the kids decorate. It's an easy way to make your home feel festive without a big mess. We were even able to save ours from last year, so it's something your kiddos can look forward to again. There's just something about window clings that makes it feel special around here!
  4. Make tie-dye shirts. Okay, this one isn't necessarily a fall activity, but we recently did this at our house, and it actually went way better than I expected. Our shirts turned out pretty cute, and we still have tons of colors left to do it again in the future! This is the kit we used.
  5. Go apple picking. We recently picked apples, and it was so fun! They truly tasted better straight from the tree, and I feel like these are the kinds of activities that turn into core memories.
  6. Take a wagon ride. My son LOVES wagon rides! You can generally find them at apple orchards, fall farms, pumpkin patches, and Halloween events this time of year.
  7. Visit a fall farm. We have so many to choose from around here, and there's something for everyone! It's definitely a great choice for kids of all ages—and the parents, too!
  8. Have a bonfire and make s'mores. Invite friends or family, bundle up, and enjoy an evening around the fire. You could even coordinate this with apple picking or pumpkin carving with extended family, or plan it around an outdoor Halloween event!
  9. Check out community trick-or-treating events. Halloween fun isn't limited to October 31! Look through our Halloween Celebrations Guide for family-friendly Halloween activities happening all month long.
  10. Have a Halloween movie night. Put on pajamas, pop some popcorn, and pick a Halloween movie everyone can enjoy!

These don't have to be big, perfectly planned activities. Sometimes the little traditions are the ones your kids remember most!
