Spring Break 2026 is just around the corner! Not heading out of town this year? A Madison staycation can be just as fun. From spring break camps and drop-in activities to kid-friendly events happening around the area, there are plenty of ways to keep kids busy, active, and excited all week long.

Get ready for an action-packed week as campers will spend their days unleashing their creativity by designing their own villages with Fear Factor–style challenges. Each day brings new adventures, unique sensory experiences, and surprising twists that are sure to ignite all their senses for an unforgettable nature experience.

The Little Gym
Ages 3–10 | Half or Full Day (9am-12pm or 12:30pm-3:30pm) | March 23–27, 2026
Keep kids active and having fun over Spring Break at The Little Gym! Camp includes obstacle courses, gymnastics, games, and themed activities in a safe, high-energy environment designed to help kids burn energy and build confidence.
Families can choose half-day or full-day options, with flexible registration available for single days or the full week. Camps are open to children ages 3–10 who are bathroom independent, and a pretzel snack is included. An optional “Lunch Bunch” add-on is available to half-day campers and free for full day.

Black Earth Children's Museum
Head to the Black Earth Children's Museum for an exciting Spring Break filled with hands-on activities and creative exploration! From March 21 – April 4, there will be engaging daily adventures for curious kids and families.
Here are some of the events happening during Spring Break:
- Scavenger hunts around the museum
- Sensory Sundays
- Creating bee hotels
- Decorating flower pots
- Making seed bombs
- Building magical fairy houses
Plus, don’t miss a special visit from the Dane County Trash Lab on March 26th. This is a fun and interactive way to learn about recycling and sustainability!
